A much needed step off the end of term treadmill yesterday for a solo paddle on the Cuckmere. I launched in Littlington and paddled beyond High & Over and back again. Hardly anyone about, just some swans and a herd of goats. Best of all, I finished up with @longmanbrewery just across the road for a reward half 🍻

I headed back to my favourite waterfall on the Ash

I headed back to my favourite waterfall on the Ashdown Forest this evening. Last time I visited it was January and there were icicles hanging off the rocks and mosses. I had visions of it being an inviting plunge pool in the summer months, but alas today the water was very, very brown. Still a gorgeous little oasis all the same. Sat and soaked up the nature nuggets for a good long while 🌿
