Lighthouse Clothing #MySummerHaven Review

July 15, 2020

Having discovered Lighthouse Clothing last year we were already big fans of this Belfast based outdoor clothing brand. Their range is ideal for active families with a focus on creating clothing for all types of weather while encouraging the ethos of embracing everyday adventure. Right up my street! Looking as good on the school run as on a muddy Sunday stroll their current collection has something for everyone. Lighthouse Clothing aim to create stylish, protective and durable clothing allowing you to make the most of your surroundings year round.

In light of this year’s events they are currently inviting wearers of their clothing range to share their personal Summer Haven using the hashtag #MySummerHaven – as summer holidays may well look a bit different this year that might be your back garden, your local park or a campsite. We were lucky enough to be sent a selection of items from their Summer range to put to the test in our local holiday havens which included a nearby glamping site and a day trip to Brighton. Here’s what we thought…

Oliver Top – Angus Highland Cow / Sloth Applique

£21.95 (now reduced to £19.95)

These gorgeous bold designs are not only durable, warm and soft to the touch but also incredibly fun to wear. Logan particularly liked the cheeky sloth hanging on the blue and white stripey version. The Oliver Tops are all 100% cotton with these stand out designs featuring a range of details such as a herringbone hem. The Oliver Top currently comes in a range of designs with a 3 for 2 offer when you add TEE-PARTY at the checkout.

Maisie Pinafore – Washed Denim and Causeway Top – Mermaid Print

Pinafore £29.95 (now reduced to £19.95)

Causeway Top £19.95 (now reduced to £9.95)

How cute is this outfit? Daisy’s at an age where she wants to dress more grown up but isn’t quite at the full on tween stage. The Maisie Pinafore is ideal in letting her try a more fashionable look while maintaining a sense of innocence. She loved the soft denim, numerous pockets and the dungaree style – paired with the equally cute mermaid print Causeway Top this is the perfect outfit for summer adventures.

Crew Sweater – Storm Grey Stripe

£39.95 (now reduced to £19.95)

My husband can be very particular when it comes to jumpers – so much so I hardly ever buy him any in fear of getting it wrong! This crew sweater from Lighthouse Clothing however seemed to tick all the boxes. Simple yet cool and warm yet light weight – ideal for chilly evening around the campfire.

Tori Jacket – Meadow Green

£84.95

So (in my opinion) I’ve saved the best for last. This is the Tori Jacket which I really love. The good ol’ British weather came up trumps allowing me to put this jacket through it’s paces on our recent day trip to Brighton. This jacket works well as a summer / autumn raincoat with it’s A-line design leaving plenty of room underneath for added layers. There is so much detail in this coat from the bright, pinstriped inner to the two way zip giving a real sense of luxury and versatility as you wear it. Best of all though is the colour. Wearing this coat makes me happy. It’s bright. It’s practical. It looks great. What’s not to love?

With thanks to Lighthouse Clothing who sent us these items in exchange for this review. If you’d like to find out more about Lighthouse Clothing please visit their website here.
