Lighthouse Clothing: Outdoor wear for active families
Isn’t it great when you stumble across a clothing brand and just love their whole range? Lighthouse Clothing are based in Northern Ireland and pride themselves on creating clothing suited to every time of weather…and half their collection has just been added to my Christmas List!
Their inspiration comes from the coastlines and landscapes surrounding their home in Northern Ireland with a desire to make enjoying the outdoors simpler and more comfortable for the whole family.
Looking as good on the school run as on a muddy Sunday stroll their current collection has something for everyone. Lighthouse Clothing aim to create stylish, protective and durable clothing allowing you to make the most of your surroundings whatever the weather. We were lucky enough to be sent a selection of items from the Autumn / Winter 2019/20 range to put to the test. Here’s what we thought…
£44.95 (now reduced to £39.95)
Logan loved his Harrison Coat from the moment he tried it on. Light weight but hard wearing and waterproof the coat looks smart and snug. Inside there’s a layer of soft, insulated padded in the hood and around the shoulders keeping little ones warm without getting too hot. Best of all…the Teflon coating makes the outer easy to wipe down after muddy walks and puddle jumping sessions!
Thom Jersey – Burnt Orange Stripe
£23.95 (now reduced to £11.95)
Dressed in Autumnal tones, the perfect gear for pumpkin picking. The Thom jersey is warm, well made and soft to touch. The zip at the front makes it easy to get on and off so no dramas with little heads getting stuck. The Thom Jersey is smart, colourful, practical and warm.
£13 (now reduced to £9.95)
I’m a big fan of bobble hats. I already have a vast collection but this will definitely be up there in my list of go-to bobble favourites. Made from 100% acrylic the Hannah Bobble is available in a range of colours, with or without the bobble. The one size fits all worked well for me fitting snug around my forehead but loose enough to wear all day. The Hannah is certainly warm but looks smart enough to wear on the High Street as well as a long hike.
£39.95 (now reduced to £14.95)
I love this sky blue colour. Cheers me up on a dull day. The Billow Kersey is again really well made and warm to wear. The zip at the back makes an interesting feature although generally I prefer a V-neck or scoop neck style. One thing I really like is the long sleeves…nothing worse than a breeze around your wrists! This top is currently reduced to just £14.95 which is incredibly good value. Buy it whilst you can!
With thanks to Lighthouse Clothing for gifting the above items for us to review.
