5 Reasons Groombridge Place is the Perfect Day Out this Half Term

October 21, 2017

Groombridge Place is a moated manor house in the village of Groombridge near Tunbridge Wells. The pretty grounds are open to the public and offer endless opportunities for adventure for families. This Half Term Groombridge is putting on a special Spooktacular Event with the help of the cast of the very talented Acting Moon Events. There are many reasons why a visit to Groombridge Place makes the perfect day out…but here are 5 of the best!

Acting Moon Events

This Half Term the cast of Acting Moon Events have put together the incredible Spooktacular Event with some very creepy skeletons and crazy pirates. The cast put on spellbinding performances throughout the day as well as story telling and photo opportunities.

Treetop Walkway

To tempt those seeking something a bit more extreme Groombridge recently added the UK’s longest and highest Tree-top Walkway. The Walkway is 350m long and 20m high allowing adventurers to experience life up close in the tree canopy.

Crusoe’s World

Perfect for creating a haunting atmosphere over the spooky season the captivating Crusoe’s World where imaginations can run wild exploring a world of wooden walkways, pirate ships and lookout towers.

Craft Activities

There’s plenty to glue, stick, colour and draw in the creepy craft tent near the main entrance. Included in the entrance fee you can create your own pipe cleaner spider plates or terrifying troll mask!

The River Ride

We always enjoy the boat which chugs along the canal to Crusoe’s world. Please note that this is an additional charge which you need to pay for at the time of buying your tickets. It’s certainly worth it though. If you’re lucky you may even be invited to take the helm! Make sure you keep an eye out for all the native wildlife…we spotted a crocodile and snake!

The Halloween Spooktacular Event runs until Sunday 29th October. Book online and save 10% www.thelittleboxoffice.com/groombridge
