Is anyone else enjoying watching @therealjuliabrad Is anyone else enjoying watching @therealjuliabradbury share her walks around Devon & Cornwall? Last night she covered the coastal path from Padstow to Trevone - following the headland at Trevose Head which you can see on the horizon here. This is St Enodoc's Church on the opposite side of the Camel Estuary. The church dates back to the 12th Century and was originally built to mark the spot where St Enodoc lived in a cave as a hermit. It's now a place of absolute tranquility. A stunning spot with sweeping views across Daymer Bay, it's hard not to feel moved here. Easy to see why John Betjeman chose it as his final resting place...

We finished our half term staycation to Kent with We finished our half term staycation to Kent with a visit to the awe-inspiring Canterbury Cathedral today. We loved hearing the stories of pilgrims, murders & ancient kings while gazing at the incredible architecture. Having learnt all about the assassination of Thomas Becket on our tour with @canterburyguidedtours yesterday the children were particularly keen to see where the knights chopped off his head in 1170! 🗡

📍 I loved seeing Antony Gormley's sculpture - Transport. Gormley (of Angel of the North fame) made the piece entirely of nails removed from the cathedral roof. The sculpture is suspended above the site of the first tomb of Archbishop Thomas Becket and is said to represent the ever changing human state.

📍 Entry is £12.50 for adults but children can enter for free during half term. It was really quiet during our visit this morning despite being half term - and the guides are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
