Celebrity Apartments provide smart, stylish and practical holiday accommodation in the heart of Brighton. They currently have three properties on offer all within walking distance of both Brighton train station and the beach. Last weekend my family and I stayed in their 2 bedroom property in Powis Square..a basement apartment in a grand row of Victorian properties and just 5 minutes walking distance from the hub of Brighton. We loved walking down to the sea front past all the street dining and vibrant cafes on Preston Street – just around the corner from Powis Square.
The houses on Powis Square are all built around a pretty central garden. On the warm Sunday afternoon that we arrive there are a couple of people relaxing in the gardens and the atmosphere is laid back and happy. Parking at Powis Square is tricky but there is a choice of NCP car parks near by…a far better alternative is to travel down by train as Brighton Rail Station is a short 5 minute walk away from the accommodation.
On entering the apartment we are greeted by a bright, large, clean and modern space. There is a small courtyard off to the back of the lounge which allows light to flood through the entire property. There are 2 bedrooms. The largest has the option of being a twin..or zipping the beds together to make a king size bed. We opted for the king size, we also had a cot bed in the room yet the room still felt spacious. This larger room also comes with a shower en suite. We found the beds incredible comfortable and spacious. Linen was fresh, crisp and sparkling clean..a really comfortable night!
The second room is a smaller twin. A window leading to the courtyard makes this room particularly bright. Both rooms have their own smart en suite bathrooms as well as their own smart TV’s.
The sitting room area doubles as the third sleeping space. In the day the room is bright spacious dining and lounge area. There is seating for up to 6 and the furniture is modern and fresh. The smaller sofa coverts into a double sofa bed allowing the apartment to sleep up to 6. Linen for the sofa bed is provided in a large chest and the bed is incredibly easy to set up.
The dining space also comfortably seats 6. We were provided with a high chair for our toddler which made mealtimes a lot easier to navigate!
The kitchen is once again clean and modern. We were provided with coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits and UHT was provided in the fridge. We found all the appliances we needed for our stay: kettle, toaster, microwave etc as well as plenty of plates, bowls, mugs and glasses. There’s also a dishwasher with a supply of dishwashing tablets which made cleaning up after meals a breeze.
There are a total of 3 bathrooms in the property…2 en suites with power showers and and additional toilet room in the hall area. The bathrooms were all smart and clean and we were provided with clean towels and toilet roll.
We found the apartment suited our needs perfectly well, even as a family of six. It was so easy to explore the beach and city being a stone’s throw away from all the action. There are plenty of shops to pick up provisions so there is no need to worry about shopping in advance – we found a Sainsbury’s local just around the corner. The children loved being able to snuggle up and watch TV in bed and we found the decor and cleanliness of the apartment on the whole to be outstanding. The ideal bolt hole for those who want to be in the heart of the city but avoid the constraints of a hotel!
We were provided with a complimentary stay at Powis Square in exchange for this review. All views expressed are my own. I would like to thanks Paul for inviting us to stay with Celebrity Apartments and Emma for organising our stay.

I love Brighton and so do my children although they do seem to spend a lot of time on the rides on the Pier! This looks like a fantastic and luxurious place to stay. #MondayEscapes

Brighton is somewhere I’ve never been. This looks like a good place to stay at. I think all major towns and cities are best visited by train #mondayescapes

This looks like a fabulous place to stay with kids, like you say without the constrains of a hotel. The apartment looks absolutely sparkly clean, there is even a reflection off the shower head!! Thanks for linking to #MondayEscapes
