Kidunk Summer Suit: For outdoor adventures in the sunshine
I recently wrote a review of a brilliant, all-season playsuit made by Kidunk Clothing. I loved how the Splash Top and Ink Trousers allowed my toddler to keep warm and dry whilst maintaining a degree of versatility thanks to the the stretchy material and carefully placed zips and poppers.
As we were so pleased with this suit it came as welcome news to hear that Kidunk Clothing have now expanded their range to include a selection of brightly coloured Summer wear for active toddlers. We put the Pebble Trousers and Seaside Top to the test to see how the latest line of Kidunk clothing fared in the recent warm weather.
Kidunk // Style
Kidunk clothing has a distinctive style: bold, bright block colours that really seem to appeal to children. The Pebble trousers are a simple light grey with the Seaside Top bringing a splash of colour with its blue, turquoise block top with a hint of red to contrast.
Kidunk // Protective
These Summer tops and bottoms offer protection from the sun with a UPF rating of 50+. Perfect for busy days on the beach or in the garden. Despite having to apply cream to the remaining exposed areas I felt assured that my toddler had good protection from the sun throughout the day. This meant that we could make the most of the time we had outdoors doing the important stuff…like having water fights and eating ice cream!
Kidunk // Practical
Both the top and trousers are made from a durable, wipe clean and light weight Teflon coated fabric. The fabric is also highly breathable meaning that little ones can stay cool even in direct sun…whilst allowing the suit to dry quickly after enjoying water play or paddling.
Kidunk // Versatile
As with the all weather suit…the Kidunk Summer outfits are made to adapt to the weather or purpose of use. The Seaside top can be either long or short sleeved, as can the Pebble trouser suit. I found this worked well as the day wore on and I began to get concerned about sun exposure….these worries were laid to rest by adding the additional sleeves and trousers with a simple zip.
Kidunk // What we thought
I was surprised at what a difference this garment made to a day with my toddler spent in the sunshine. Of course I still needed to apply sunscreen but I felt happy that Logan had good protection throughout the day whilst wearing his Summer suit.
Logan was clearly comfortable and cool in his suit. He was happy to splash about and get wet…but because his suit dried so quickly afterwards there was no chaffing or soggy drips.
The top retails for £24.99 and the trousers for £19.99….so the whole set comes in at around £45 and is money well spent in my opinion. The Kidunk Summer range offers protection whilst maintaining practicality, fun and style letting you make the most of family time in the sun!
We were kindly gifted this outfit by Kidunk for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
