Femme Luxe Review ~ Shacket & Blazer winter wardrobe warmers

January 21, 2022

When I was approached to work with Femme Luxe I hesitated. On checking out their website my first thoughts were that this place was far too glamourous for the likes of me! Femme Luxe has a huge range of sexy dresses, tops and underwear. All gorgeous but way out of my comfort zone. However, they also have an extensive range of super comfy loungewear – now this I can get excited about! As I browsed page after page of joggers, hoodies and sweatshirts I was amazed by the vast range of colours, cuts and styles it’s possible to buy a tracksuit in. What’s more they’re all really reasonably priced with loungewear sets starting at just £14.99. So, as you can see I agreed to work with them, and I’m so glad I did. The items I chose (a couple of months ago now) have become staples in my winter wardrobe and Femme Luxe has become a trusted brand that I will definitely shop with again. I’m going to share details of the products I selected in this review but if you are looking for comfy, affordable, day to day loungewear please check out their full range online. This is a mere snippet of what’s available….

Navy Check Print Oversized Button Up Pocket Shacket – Isabella

Price originally £34.99 – Currently listed at £15.99

Highlights – Incredibly cosy, super soft lining, fits well, good price and really warm.

Not so good – The soft lining doesn’t stay fluffy once it’s been washed. One of the silver buttons fell off after one wear – I replaced with my own brown button which I actually prefer!

Verdict – I’ve worn this shacket so much this winter. It’s warm, easy to layer and looks smarter than a hoody or sweatshirt. It’s not perfectly made but I love it. I think it’s good value for money and incredibly practical. I also think it will look great in the summer with denim shorts or as evening layers for camping trips.

Sage Check Print Oversized Button Up Pocket Shacket – Isabella

Price originally £34.99 – Currently listed at £15.99

Highlights – As with the navy shacket the sage version is snug, cosy and has a lovely super soft lining. I love the sage colour – it’s light and original and perfect with autumnal tones. The pockets are a great bonus perfect for holding keys or dog treats. I’ve worn this shirt on so many winter walks with thermals underneath. Ideal for layering or for adding a casual touch to dress wear.

Not so good – This shirt has worn really well. Despite washing it numerous times it has held both its shape and stitching well. I don’t have anything negative to say about this one!

Verdict – Another favourite. At this price what’s not to love?

Pastel Blue Oversized Long Sleeve Button Up Blazer – Petra

Price originally £33.99 – Currently listed at £13.99

Highlights – Beautiful light blue colour, silky lining, sleek oversized style. Great price!

Not so good – The fabric is quite thin so the blazer is not warm. Potential to lose shape if washed.

Verdict – I’ve work this blazer a number of times and I’ve found it best to wear an undercoat my warmer over sized jacket. I love the colour which works just as well as a flash of blue under layers. I think I’ll wear this blazer more in the summer when it’s a bit warmer paired with skinny jeans.

Future buys

There are so many good deals across the Femme Luxe website – it would seem rude not to start planning for future buys. I’d love wear some of their crisp white dresses in the summer… or maybe one their stunning Bardot style and Puff sleeve black dresses next time I have an event…but dresses and puffy sleeves aren’t really my bag. It’s fun to explore new styles but my heart lies with comfort and cosiness so I’ll be browsing Teddy coats, hoodies, joggers and tees. I’m impressed with Femme Luxe and have definitely changed my perception of their brand – in the future it’ll be up there as one of the first places I head to for loungewear!

Disclosure – I was gifted the featured items in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.
