Art Therapy Brunch Party At Patterns, Brighton

July 11, 2019

Patterns in Brighton have added a unique twist to the Bottomless Brunch concept for a limited time over the Summer months. Thanks to ART + BELIEVE the sun drenched terrace area has undergone a colourful make over featuring a host of bright, geometric murals and artwork. Here lies the twist. In addition to enjoying a great menu put together by local pop-up Lucky Beach Cafe, brunchers are invited to embrace their creative side through the means of art as part of the experience. Guests are seated alongside their very own mini canvas and art materials allowing the art therapy to flow as the the Prosecco pours.

Setting

If you’re familiar with Patterns you’ll already be aware that the location doesn’t get much better. Situated right on the seafront, opposite the pier Patterns is in the heart of the action. On a Saturday lunch time the scene is busy with people looking to enjoy the sunshine and let their hair down. The terrace at Patterns is also the perfect suntrap. The vibe is set, and it’s a good one.

Booking

The Saturday Brunch sessions are running for a limited time over the Summer period through Design My Night: Brighton. The set menu costs £29 for brunch & bottomless Bloody Mary, Mimosa and Prosecco. Brunch sessions run from 12-2pm.

Food

With Lucky Beach in the kitchen the brunch menu offers a choice of three food options. Eggs Benedict with slow cooked, pulled ham hock served on potato rosti with cider emulsion and fresh apple was an absolute hit for us. With a generous serving of pulled ham this dish was both satisfying and salty. The Avo Toast comes as an avaocado mousse with a soft boiled egg, radish and candied beetroot on sourdough toast. Looking fantastic this is a lighter alternative to the Benny eggs. Finally there’s the Heirloom Tomato. We didn’t get the chance to taste this dish but it also comes on sourdough toast with olive dressing, za’tar (a mix of aromatic spices) and fresh herbs.

Drinks

As with any ‘Bottomless’ promotion the drink aspect of the meal plays an important role. We were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco on our table shortly after we arrived. We were also offered Mimosa’s and Bloody Mary’s throughout our meal. The friendly waiting staff seemed keen to keep our glasses topped up with regular offers of refills or new bottles.

Verdict

A lovely, laid back brunch setting right on Brighton’s seafront. Perfect for groups looking to make the most of the ‘Bottomless’ element of their Saturday Brunch..plus the Eggs Benedict are to die for!

Bottomless Brunch runs at Patterns between 12-2pm every Saturday throughout the Summer. For bookings please visit Design My Night here.
