With a summer of heatwaves forecast, festival season is well and truly on its way. As ever, Uckfield and our surrounding areas has a packed agenda of summer shindigs. I’ve picked five of the best local music events to look forward to and a ticket giveaway for a pair of lucky readers.

Back for the fifth year Lewes Music Festival offers 3 days of camping, live music and a spot of rugby at the foot of the South Downs. This year’s line-up includes The Skints and Mungo’s Hi-Fi as well as a Country themed day on Sunday including 21 Whiskeys and a Zach Bryan tribute.

Love Supreme is one of Europe’s biggest Jazz festivals hosting some of the biggest names in music. In addition to their outstanding music line-up festival goers can indulge in wellbeing, yoga, secret swims, children’s area, pop up eateries and funfair. Their incredible run of acts this year includes Sister Sledge, Gabrielle, Del La Soul and Ezra Collective.

24th – 26th July at Nash Street, Hailsham
Chiddfest has a local beer festival vibe but with an awesome music line-up to boot. The 3 day event takes place just outside of Chiddingly village with a host of camping, food & drink, kids activities and of course, good music on the agenda. Acts on the mains stage for 2026 include N-Trance, Phats n Small, The Undertones and Toploader.
