Lambing Days across Sussex & Kent 2020
Last year I put together a round up of local farming venues hosting lambing days…believe it or not it was my most popular posts for 2019! There’s a lot of you out there wanting to know where you and your family can meet or even watch the arrival of these woolly cuties. It makes sense that I update the post for 2020. So here is the lowdown on where you can meet, feed, cuddle and fall in love with your local Sussex and Kent based lambs:
Coombes Farm will be welcoming visitors to the farm from Saturday March 14 – Sunday April 19 between 9:30am – 4pm. They have 800 ewes ready to deliver 1200 lambs so the farm is going to be incredibly busy during this period! Entry £4 for adults and £3 for children. Tractor rides will be available on dry days for £3 per person. They will also be serving hot drinks in the barn.
Gaston Farm will be open from Saturday 28th March – Sunday 26 April between 10 am and 4 pm. Entry also includes a tractor ride costing £6 per person with under 2’s entering for free. Cash only!
Open Farm at Middle Farm in Firle will once again be lambing from March through until April. Visitors will be able to see lambs being born as well as having the opportunity to bottle feed the lambs. Entry to Open Farm costs £5 with no charge for under 3’s.
Tablehurst is hosting two lambing days this year on Saturday 21st March and March 28th. Visitors can view the ewes and lambs in the barn, walk around the rest of the farm (which is always open to the public) and enjoy the organic cafe and barbecue. Entry is FREE!
