In the run up to Halloween it’s become a tradition for lots of families to visit a local farm to pick their very own pumpkin to carve ready for trick or treating. I’ve put together a selection of some of the best places to visit for pumpkin picking and Autumnal antics for 2019. And don’t forget to take plenty of photos…there’s nothing cuter than a tiny person holding a giant pumpkin!
Sussex
Open Monday – Saturday 9:30am – 5pm and Sunday 9:30am – 4pm
General entrance to the farm shop is free. Coffee shop and play area also on site.
Additional Halloween Themed activities taking place between 26-31 October including Pumpkin Carving and Spooky Trail at a cost of £4.95 per child.
12 acres of pumpkin fields are open to the public from 10am – 5:30pm during weekends and half term in October (starting Saturday 12th). Entry to the pumpkin patch is free.
Hot food and drinks plus play areas available on site. Why not consider visiting Spookfest across the road at the main Tulley’s Farm whilst you’re there!?
Open over the weekend of 12-13 October and from 19-31 October 9:30am – 4pm.
Sompting farm offers a selection of 32 varieties of pumpkins and gourds to pick. Halloween crafts, fun activities and hot food all available on site.
Kent
Open everyday from October 12th until Thursday 31st October 12th. Please check website for various opening and closing times. Free to enter.
Pumpkins cost between £1-£4. Food and drink available on site. Donations welcomed for Colitis and Crohn’s in Childhood Research Association.
The 2019 Pumpkin Patch will be opening on Thursday 17th October between 9am – 5pm. Farm shop and refreshments can also available on site.

Pumpkin Moon – sites at Maidstone and Rainham
Opening for the weekend of October 12-13 and then everyday from Friday 18 October through until Thursday 31st from 10 am – 4pm.
Free entry. Dressing up encouraged! Food and beverage stores available at both sites.
Pick your own pumpkins starts Saturday 19th October until Sunday 27th between 10am – 3pm.
PYO running from 23-27 October from 10am-4pm. Refreshments, face painting, hot dogs, hot drinks and fancy dress all taking place!
