My Travel Bucket List for 2018 featuring Destination2.co.uk

December 15, 2017

As the New Year fast approaches many of us will be turning our thoughts to plans of travel and adventure for 2018. When travel plans revolve around your family the world can suddenly seem a bit more limited. However, there are plenty of warm and exotic locations offering the perfect family holiday at destination2.co.uk I’ve spent the afternoon dreaming of warmer climates and picked out five trips that are now on my bucket list for 2018.

Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE is the perfect destination for guaranteed sunshine all year round. Still in the early stages of establishing itself as one of the Middle Eastern winter sun destinations there are some real bargains to be found, especially in terms of inclusive holiday packages. Ras Al Khaimah offers families laid back beach holidays, a fantastic cultural experience and the Hajar Mountains for those who crave adventure. Definitely one for our list!

Fujairah

Another upcoming spot on the coastline of the UAE Fujairah offers sunshine, history, culture and adventure! Fujairah is the perfect compromise for those who want to explore the Middle East away from the hustle and bustle. With s wide choice of luxury resorts and activities including snorkelling, water sports and mountain treks there’s something for every member of the family here.

Phuket

Phuket has everything you could possibly require from a family holiday. There’s water parks, kids clubs, museums and zoos….not to mention miles of sandy beaches! The ideal Winter escape for some those wanting to enjoy adventure, wildlife, good food and exotic culture in a family friendly resort.

Barbados

Embracing the ultimate West Indies vibe, Barbados has been on my bucket list for a few years now. I’m totally blown away by images of the long, white sandy beaches, laid back lifestyle and promise of cocktails on the beach. Barbados also has a good reputation as a family friendly destination with a wide choice of resorts and great hospitality Barbados offers a warm welcome to all ages.

Kos

With the Greek Islands already established as firm family favourites, Kos is one of the many we have yet to visit. Kos offers the perfect blend of water-sports and sun-lounging with plenty of water parks for the ideal way to keep little ones cool and entertained at the same time. Another gem that we would love to tick off the list this year!
