Christmas Special Santa Flights at the British Airways i360
In the run up to Christmas there are some very special guests on board special flights of the British Airways i360. Santa and his Elf are meeting children to hear their Christmas wishes, hand out presents and pose for photos. We were lucky enough to enjoy one of the first of these special flights this weekend…and it really was a magical experience!
After working through the check in system we had a short wait before it was our turn to ride the i360 pod. We were one of about 10 other families who excitedly boarded this special flight, keen to see Santa and share our Christmas wishes.
Once on board Santa made huge efforts to spend a good amount of time with each and every child. Daisy was happy to reel off a list of items she’s hoping to receive this year. Logan was a bit more cautious and chose to keep a safe distance!
The Elf was just as charming as the main man himself, happy to pose for photos and share some inside info on what it’s like to work for Santa in his workshop!
With the pod riding slowly reaching to a maximum height of 453 feet (138 metres) there’s plenty of time to take in the views and make sure you make the most of all the photo opportunities.
Before we knew it we were back on solid ground with memories to treasure and a gift of a great new Christmas themed book from Santa. With the i360 being right on the beach there was still time to have a quick lounge in the deckchair and skim some stones down on the shore.
A great alternative to the traditional Grotto and a truly unique experience that the whole family will enjoy! Santa flights on the i360 run up until Sunday 24th December.
